Re: Foot Golf
The idea is you miss the trees and go for the holes.

Re: Foot Golf
Strikes me as total bollocks, just go to a park and boot the ball from tree to tree. I would never pay £15 to kick a ball about when I could (as someone else said) have 4 hours worth of real golf for that. Surely anyone who has either played football or golf properly would have no interest in it.

Re: Foot Golf
We did it over in Gunnersbury Park, Ealing. Fiver a pop - 9 holes. Think they've got a bigger one down in Pithanger Lane just down the road.

It's good fun

Re: Foot Golf
The 'putting' on the one at Chadwell Heath is hard because it's on AstroTurf.

If you miss the ball just trundles on, goes off the green, down the slope and sometimes 50 yards away. If there's a group of you and your mate does this then you're all cracking up until he gets the hump and launches the ball onto the A12.

Re: Foot Golf
Play Golf in Colchester have converted their 9 hole par 3 into foot golf course.
£3 for kids up to 12 and £6 everyone over 12.
Will be trying it soon.

Re: Foot Golf
I did this for a mates birthday back in October last year and have to say it was such a good laugh, particularly if like a lot of us you are a bit rusty with a football. If you go one by one all your friends are watching and the banter on fucking up was hilarious.

Played at High Elms Golf Course, just outside of Bromley, Kent which has its own separate Foot Golf course.

On the topic of losing a football on a golf course, one of our group managed to do this when he belted his ball into a huge forest and couldn't find it for love nor money.

Re: Foot Golf
It's a cracking day out.

There's one out my way, it's proper 18 holes, decent distance, your legs can get a bit tired from belting the ball as far as ye can.

We done two teams and the losers buy the winners a fish and chips.

Re: Foot Golf
I don't think you have to hire the ball? I didn't anyway, also never played at Romford.

15 quid is a bit steep for what it is, but on the other hand it is a good laugh if you get a few mates together and have a few beers.

Re: Foot Golf
Not tried it but saw the one at Romford charges £15 and you have to hire the Ball for a quid.

Bit Steep seeing as you can play 18 holes of golf at Hainault for the same price and loose as many balls as you like
